Staff Associate – Lender Services Practice

Sisterson & Co. LLP is seeking a staff associate for its Lender Services Practice. This position’s primary responsibility will be performing collateral field examinations for commercial lenders comprised of reviewing collateral pledged to support revolving lines of credit, books and records, internal reporting systems and controls of the bank’s customer or prospective customer. A collateral field examination is an on-site visit that focuses on the review and testing of the quality of the bank’s collateral, reliability of the company’s books and records, and adequacy of financial controls. Results are conveyed in written reports, which identify key risks and recommendations.

Since a majority of the field examination work is performed on-site at the bank’s customer’s facility, this position requires significant travel, both out-of-town overnight (estimate range of 35 to 75 nights per year) as well as day trips.

Highlights of this position include the following:

• Strong pay and benefits package
• Great opportunities for advancement commensurate with performance
• Opportunities to work directly with and be trained by our managers who have many years of lender services experience
• Engagement in ongoing personal development to enhance technical abilities and support career growth
• Exposure to a wide range of borrowers in many different regions and industries
• Opportunity to interact and directly communicate with senior financial management and decision-making executives regularly
• Exposure to lending and credit functions of large financial institutions
• Potential to work on other consulting services projects such as litigation support, fraud investigations, forensic accounting, valuations and acquisition due diligence

Seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• High level of professionalism to provide excellent customer service to clients
• Enthusiasm for the opportunity of business travel to regional and national clients

New graduates are encouraged to apply, as thorough training will be provided. A successful Staff Associate within the Lender Services Practice will carry out the principal responsibilities of the position, while supporting the mission of Sisterson & Co. LLP: Enhance the success of our clients through our commitment, creativity and competencies as a respected and responsive provider of value-added financial services.
